New House | One and a Half Months Later

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve talked about our awesome new house. I have been a little preoccupied, but with what I don’t remember ;)

The last entry about the house was back in the beginning of July when we had just finished moving everything from the other house. Here is what has been happening since then!

We are about 80% unpacked. Everything that we NEED is out now it’s just getting to the rest of the stuff…

We painted the baby’s room! It is amazing how much a coat of paint will lighten up a room! Her room is slowly coming along, a few more things and her room just might be done before she gets here in a little over a month :)!

We also, began replacing the outlets in the house. They were a nasty brown color, they are now going to be white! I LOVE WHITE, it’s so clean (and so easy to get dirty). A lot of the outlets in our house aren’t GFI outlets (what that means I don’t know, I think it has to do with the ground wire???… ask Ben or the Google) so Ben has been adding GFCI outlets as we go along.

Since our bathrooms had no exhaust fans when we moved in it has been our mission to get them done by the time the Bambino comes. About 3 weekends ago now we had our Handy Man friend Tom come and help Ben put one in the upstairs bathroom. I looks great and works like a charm (great job guys)!

The Sunday after they guys put the fan in the bathroom upstairs we had a nice furry nocturnal visitor in our house… Yep we had a bat in the house. Our first solution was to leave the front door open and just let Batty out of the house and he can just fly off and eat his bugs. He flew out, but I guess he decided that he liked being in the house better, because he came right back in and made our curtain rod his home. So Ben suited up and grabbed some Tupperware (I grabbed the tennis racket) captured him, brought him outside and set him free!

The next weekend Tom came back over to get the second exhaust fan in. Once the guys opened the second attic the project immediately went on hold. It looks like we have BATS everyone.

So we called Nuisance Pro they came out and did an inspection, and from the looks of things the colony is pretty small (so I would think it is newer) so it shouldn’t take long for them to leave. This is how they remove bats: Bats, however are removed a little differently. When they are using your attic or soffits, an exclusion process is used. We locate all entrance and exit holes (minor and major) on the exterior of the house or commercial property. Minor holes are potentially available for bats to use, but are not being used at this time. Major holes are holes the bats are using. We seal all minor holes right away and in the major holes we install one way valves that allow the bats to leave to do their nightly feedings, but do not allow them to re-enter. Approximately two weeks after the valves are installed, we return to remove the valves and seal the holes. The process is then complete. Keep in mind the bat removal process can only be done in months of the year with 40 degree nights or warmer due to hibernation, migration, and food availability, which is bugs. We do not remove bats from June 1st through August 15th. The reason for this is bats have their young in early to mid-June and it takes the babies six weeks to fly. The process we use would remove adults and leave babies behind. Which is no good. (Nuisance Pro)

So we will hopefully be Bat free when the baby comes. But since bats are super important and eat all the nasty bugs we are looking into putting up a bat house once the exclusion begins so we can keep them around :)

The Move – Complete!

I have been waiting to do this post for MONTHS now! It’s official – Ben and I are moved!!

This past weekend my parents and older brother came to Oshkosh and helped us move all of the non-heavy things!
They arrived on Thursday and we went directly to the rental and started packing things up and bringing them over, and it went like that all weekend. Then yesterday Two Men and a Truck came and moved the rest of the really heavy stuff. It only took them about 2.5 hours and it was worth every penny!

Besides a few lamps and a few cleaning supplies the rental is completely empty. Now all that is left to do is to clean the house and get the carpets professionally cleaned.

Now it’s time to unpack… EVERYTHING. And there is a lot. Hopefully I can go through a lot of stuff and donate it. (at least that is the plan) Hopefully I can be done unpacking by the end of the month and we can have a house warming party?!?!

That’s all for now! Wish me luck unpacking.

27 Weeks

According to one of my pregnancy apps (BabyBump) I have been pregnant for 189 days, and if I deliver on my due date (10-2) I only have 91 more days to go! I remember when I was really excited that I was 1/3 of the way done and next week I will be officially in the Third Trimester! Time flies doesn’t it?

This past week Ben and I have been superrr busy. Friday we were able to start moving into our new house. You can read about it here. While we were moving things this past weekend I think I over did it a little bit. Don’t worry I didn’t lift anything super heavy, I think it was just the constant bending, twisting, going up and down stairs, and cleaning, because on Monday I sure felt sore (espically in my legs, arms, and sides).

Since we have been moving things into the house we decided that it was time to go and buy paint for the baby’s room!!!! Since my parents are coming to help us move some of the heavier things to the new house I am going to employ them to help paint the room!!!! Be on the look-out for before and after photos and I hope to do a nursery reveal when we are all set up! So exciting!!!

On Monday we toured our first day care, Arts for Kids. We have heard so many good things about that facility. The tour went AWESOME. I really liked it and all the things they had to offer like, art, Spanish, science, and coming soon… Yoga (not that the baby can do all of those things at 6-8 weeks when she will be starting) I love that she will have the option to do so much while she is there. We still have a few tours left. We will also be touring Kyria, KinderCare, and maybe the YMCA. I feel like this is going to be a super hard decision. We were originally thinking we could make part-time daycare work (we would just have to rearrange our schedules a bit) but It just won’t work. I want us to have as much time together after the work day that we possibly can and we can’t do that if Ben works until 7pm… So this just works easiest for us! I know that where ever we choose will be the best fit for us! :)

This coming Saturday Ben and I have our class: Labor, Birthing, and Beyond. Wish us luck! :)

How far along?  27 weeks only 91 days left of my pregnancy (if I give birth on my due date)

Total weight gain/loss:  +18

How big is baby: Baby is measuring in at 13.6 – 14.8 inches. That’s about the size of a head of Rutabaga. Weighing in at 1.5 – 2.5lbs.

Maternity clothes? Wearing them all the time.

Sleep: I have had so much trouble sleeping lately. Probably because of the move and sleeping on an air bed. I should have my bed in the house on MONDAY!!!!

Best moment this week: Ben watching my belly move with Little Lady. He told me he “had a moment” :)

Movement:  My child is a raver. She is constantly moving.

Food cravings:  Fruit Loops. I could eat these all day every day.

Gender:  Little Lady

Belly Button in or out? Still in. Give it time. George (my freckle in my belly button) will get to see the light of day soon!

What I miss: I miss summery Mojitos.

What I am looking forward to: Getting settled in the house. Getting the nursery painted, and all the furniture built. ALSO… We have our final ultrasound in Green Bay on Thursday. I can’t wait to see her. This will be the last time we see her until she arrives :)

Milestones:  She is practicing inhaling and exhaling with her rapidly developing lungs.
It’s official: She is showing brain activity! And her brain will keep on getting more complex.

  •    Start the pediatrician search
  •    Find a daycare
  •    Daycare tour on Monday
  •    Paint babys room
  •    Build babys furniture
  •    Find a Medical supply store to order/get my breast pump.

The Move Has Slowly Begun!!!!

If you can’t tell … Ben and I are super excited to actually be in the new house!

Friday night around 7pm our “tenants” called us and told us that “they got the hell outta’ there and we can go home now”. Once Ben hung up we started throwing a bunch of cleaning supplies together and we headed over to the house. Let me tell you, it looked like a completely different house! It looked like our house ready to be made into a home. Plus it was completely empty, THERE IS SO MUCH ROOM!!!! There was very little cleaning for us to do, so we went back to the rental and packed for an overnight stay!!!!

The weekend was dedicated to getting just the essentials here, because I want to stay in the nice house with Central Air… Can you blame me? It was also really important to get the animals here to get them all settled into the new home.

  • Ruby is loving the new house (she has so much room for activities) the only thing she dislikes is the stairs. She is not a fan of the dark enclosed space.
  • Java is already Kitty King of the house. He is LOVING IT!
  • Snickers is still in hiding and only comes out to eat.

Other than that my parents and brother are coming down for the weekend to help us move some more stuff to the house. And then on Monday Two Men and a Truck will be moving all the heavy stuff. That should hopefully be it and Ben and I will be officially moved into the house!!! YAY!

23 Weeks

23 weeks down, 17 to go. It seems like that is not a lot of time. Although when I was 17 weeks I felt like those weeks took forEVERRRRR. Oh well I guess we will see how this goes. Hopefully not too fast. We have a lot to do before this baby comes!

Where do I begin? Well, since the last blog Ben and I have closed on our house, vacationed in Las Vegas, and went on an IKEA shopping spree. Let’s begin shall we?

Since our closing got pushed back a day, we ended up closing on our house on Friday, May 30th. Our lender called Ben and told him that since we were renting back to the previous owners for a month the $825 that were paying us was just going to go towards the closing costs. Apparently the title company had an issue with that, and we ended up writing a check for about $500. Which is way less than what we were expecting to pay in the first place. And they were really nice about it since it was so late in the afternoon the accepted a personal check instead of making us go and get a cashiers check. So… Once that was done we signed our lives away for 30 years (probably only 5-7 in this house if we keep having kids ;).). So we became Homeowners/Landlords all in one day. Amazing. When will we be moving? Since our lease isn’t up until the end of July, we decided to take the whole month to move. Although I would like to be almost 100% in the house by the second weekend. We shall see. :)

As most of you know Ben and I went to Las Vegas for a long weekend/babymoon/visit/love up on the family time. We had such a great time!!! We got there Saturday night and left Wednesday morning. Here are some of the HIGHLIGHTS!

Ben and I waiting for take off

The Bumps first flight

Brad invited Ben to go golfing the next day (sunday) so they went to Wal-Mart and got the XG4 golf clubs ($89) so they would’t have to rent clubs  for the same price (now all the visiting Beneshs’ that golf have clubs to use). These clubs apparently were amazing, and they didn’t break as predicted. How nerdy are these two? So sweet, they match! :)

The Result of a day of golf.

While they were out golfing Jazzmen, Ma$e, AJ, & I went to breakfast at Rachel’s. All I have to say is Oshkosh needs one. I really really would love some of their french toast right about now.

IMG_2962  IMG_2940

It was also Brad’s birthday while we were there. We went to the Linq and explored, ate at The Flamingo buffet (OMG pregnant lady HEAVEN. Let me tell you. YUM). We then went on the HighRoller which is the tallest observation wheel in the world (bigger than London’s). It was pretty great! :)

The rest of the time was spent eating buffets and Texas de Brazil (meat), and sitting out by the pool and in the pool in my bikini (no shame) with lots and lots of sun screen on. The bump also got so much love. I don’t know who misses Jazzmen’s belly rubs more… me or the baby. There was also a lot of love spread out to Mason and AJ. And some quality time with Bri. I miss them already. I can’t wait until October when I get to see them all again!

IKEA was amazing! We spent about 2 hours there. We picked up the baby’s crib, mattress, and bookshelf that turns into a changing table if I can get my hands on the attachment. All thats left for us to get is a dresser and EVERYTHING ELSE :)
Crib Shelf
This is the set we got. We are sooo excited to build it all…. Well, Ben is ;)

After 8 hours of traveling yesterday, we finally made it home. Only to find that the PS3 had decided to die. So… me being the awesome wife I am went out and got the new PS4 for Ben. Can we say most awesome wife ever. Not too sure what I was thinking, seeing as how we have a kid on the way and he wont get to use it too much once she gets here. But it has the blu-ray player and netflix so I can almost justify it. :)

On to the update:

Sleep: It’s hard to find a comfy position. But when I find it, I sleep so well!

Best moment this week:  Seeing our Vegas family, and becoming homeowners.

22 Weeks

Hello, week 22! You creeped up on me pretty quickly. Where is time going? Now that we are no longer repeating weeks time seems to just be flying by!

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend! Ours we pretty low-key and laid back. Ben spent a good amount of it in Washington Island. So I planted the beginning of my container garden (tomatoes and green peppers) and spent a lot of time watching Law & Order. Once I start watching I can’t seem to stop. Gotta love that Jack and Lenny! ;)

Once Ben came home on Sunday we went to High Cliff State Park and took Ruby on a hike! It was such a beautiful day!

On monday we grilled out! And that pretty much sums up our holiday weekend. Like I said low-key and relaxing.

This week has also gone by so fast! I had an appointment today to have an ultrasound for a pain I was having up by my rib cage under my right breast. Well, the results came back and everything is fine. The figure that because my torso is small everything is getting squished up there and everything is just expanding to accommodate this little lady! I can already see how this child is going to be ;) haha!

We had our final walk through at our house yesterday. You can read about it here. So today we were supposed to close… BUT our insurance agent screwed up our paperwork. First they put down the house that we are renting as the house we are buying. And once they fixed that they put down the wrong date of our closing and they couldn’t get it fixed in time. So now we are closing tomorrow. *fingers crossed*

Now on to the update!

How far along?  22 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  +10 From here on out I should be gaining .5lbs a week. Oh dear!!!!

How big is baby: Baby is measuring in at 10.5 – 11.8 inches. That’s about the size of a Papaya. Weighing in at 14 – 18oz.

Maternity clothes?  I was wrong about my maternity clothes quest. Turns out that one trip to Motherhood Maternity Outlet and $131 dollars later I have 3 tank tops and a pair of shorts, capris, kakhi capris, and a maxi skirt later I think I’m done. *I hope for my wallets sake*

Sleep: To be honest it sucks right now. It seems I can’t get comfortable (no matter how many pillows I use). Plus it seems that every little noise wakes me up. UGH I hope it will get better.

Best moment this week:  Ben feeling our little girl for the first time this morning. She was having a rave in there. It was crazy!!!!

Movement:  My child is a raver. She is constantly moving right now. It’s kind of distracting.

Food cravings:  I love apples, French fries, popsicles, reese’s peanut butter cups, and cinnamon raisin bagels

Gender:  It’s a girl!!!

Belly Button in or out? In for now. Getting more shallow. creepy

What I miss: Sleeping on my tummy!

What I am looking forward to: Closing tomorrow. Leaving for Vegas on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Milestones:  She has more developed eyes and lips. She is looking more and more like a newborn. She is also sleeping in cycles — about 12 to 14 hours a day (I wish I could do that).

  •    Start the pediatrician search
  •    Find a daycare
  •    Find a Medical supply store to order/get my breast pump.
  •    Sign up for the breastfeeding class
  •    Find a birthing class and sign up for it
  •    21 week ultrasound
  •    Start a baby registry
  •    Coffee with Jessica and Julie
  •    Buy maternity shorts and capris

Final Walk Through & Packing

Yesterday Ben and I did our final walk through at the house. I honestly don’t think I will be able to wait until July to move in. Now that the current owners are packing up their stuff (and it is a lot of stuff) and the house is opening up, we are finally able to see all of the space that we are going to have. All 2,300 square feet of it. Like our agent said… the house will probably have an echo for awhile after we move in until we fill it up!

Tomorrow is our closing day (hopefully)! We got an email from our lender saying that our insurance agent put the house we are renting down as the house we are buying. Nothing against this house, but why would I go from the new house to this house? So hopefully all of the paperwork comes through and we can close tomorrow at 4!

I’m really excited to finally have a house that I can do whatever I want with it. Paint, remodeling, and all that jazz!

I will keep you posted! :)

20 Weeks – Half Way There!!!

We are finally at 20 weeks. And it’s for REAL this time. Since we found out I was 3 weeks behind what we thought I was originally I felt like this day would never come, but IT HAS!!! I feel like I have been waiting for FOREVER!!!!

I am officially 5 months prego. Wow. That is all I can really say. There are still some days where I just think to myself… “Wow! you really let yourself go. Time to get back on the health and fitness train.” And then I feel her kick and I’m reminded that oh yeah… There is a reason I have “let myself go”… I’m pregnant, I need more carbs than I want to eat and I can’t just decide that I want to start my Jillian Michaels video.
Is that normal? To forget that you are pregnant?
We went to the doctor on Monday. It was another “boring” appointment as my dr. calls them. We check all of my vitals with a Medical Assistant (I don’t remember the correct title) and then we wait and then dr. comes in we chat a bit about my symptoms: Have you felt the baby kick yet?(Yep!)  Round Ligament pain? (YES)  and so on.  Then we hear her heartbeat (Still 154, she is so consistent!!!!). Then we talk about what will happen when we come back in a month, pretty much the same thing, but we measure my belly (o_0) and we chat about my upcoming glucose/Gestational Diabetes test. Wish me luck! (Have I mentioned she is pregnant too? When we were due in Sept. she was due the day after me, but now that my date has changed she will for sure be gone when Little Girl comes, so we get to meet all the OBs.)

IMG_2837 This was from mothers day.

What else is going on? I am having the hardest time remembering things. My brain has officially checked out, which can be awesome… and really bad at the same time, so, if you see me writing notes that is why. :)
Also, my emotions are RIDICULOUS!!!! My tears come so easily these days. It can be songs on the radio, and those commercials on TV where the military family comes home to surprise their children and they are all so excited and happy. (I am tearing up typing this).  One second I am happy and life is great… the next, (in my mind ) Ben hates how I look these days and doesn’t love me anymore. I know in the back of my mind this isn’t true, but I can’t turn it off!!!! Speaking of Ben, he has been amazing. He has taken everything I have thrown at him in pregnancy induced rage, sadness, or insecurity and has just reassured me that we are ready for this, and that I am not doing this alone, he is right there with me. It is safe to say that I love him more every day. Oh and gets me popsicles!!!

Ben and I also took a trip to JoAnn Fabrics last week to try and get inspired for Little Girl’s room. This is what we found and I LOVED!!! I so love the real, white, reds and corals!!! It’s so pretty and the one with the pink flowers is pretty too!

IMG_2825 IMG_2824

On the house front: Everything is all set to go! We are closing on the 29th at 4. Huzzah! We will be moving in July, even more HUZZAH!

How far along?  20 Weeks! Half way there! Unless little girl decides to come early then I’m over half way!

Total weight gain/loss:  We went to the doctor on Monday and I have gained a total of 8 lbs. Which means I am right on track.

How big is baby: Baby is measuring in at 6.5 inches. That’s about the size of a Banana. Weighing in at 10.6oz. She is growing for sure, and I am feeling it.

Maternity clothes?  Now that the weather is warming up I need to find myself a few pairs of Prego shorts and capris, and perhaps a few more dresses. When the weather was really nice this past weekend I had a hard time wearing some of my old clothes. Thank God for my B-Band. Lifesaver!

Sleep:  AMAZING. I am sleeping so well right now. I usually wake up once or twice to use the bathroom or get a drink but I usually fall right back to sleep.

Best moment this week:  I was lying on the couch last night (with my hand on my stomach) and I felt her kick from the outside. This was the first time that happened for me. It was one of the most amazing things in the world. By the time I was ready to call Ben and tell him to get by me, she stopped. Maybe next time Ben!

Movement:  Movement usually happens after I eat and right before I go to bed. They are too strong yet, but they get stronger every time.

Food cravings:  I love apples, French fries, popsicles, and cinnamon raisin bagels

Gender:  Girl, but “keeping our receipt” as the tech told us to.

Belly Button in or out? In for now.

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach. Oh I miss it so much! Thank God for body pillows though.

What I am looking forward to: Our appointment next week! We get to see our little girl again, so we are pretty pumped!!! We will also be seeing our friends next week. And my cousin is getting married this Saturday so we get to see family and they get to see my awesome pregnant look!

Milestones:  She has working taste buds!!!! She is also “gulping down” several ounces of amniotic fluid each day – getting ready for that first diaper.

  •    Start the pediatrician search
  •    Find a birthing class and sign up for it
  •    21 week ultrasound
  •    Start a baby registry
  •    Coffee with Jessica and Julie
  •    Buy maternity shorts and capris

Fun Facts:

  • Number of stretch marks that have appeared on my stomach – 4 and lets keep it that way. No more!
  • Amount of times I wish I was wearing sweat pants at work – I think about it all day. I can’t put a number on it
  • Number of baby things we have bought – Some really cute clothes and a really cute rainbow photo for her room!!!
  • Episodes of Supernatural watched  -8
  • Baby kicks today – 18

Week 18… Redux

What’s New This Week?
I am actually doing this post a day early because I didn’t want to wait until tomorrow.
Well, we have made it back to 18 weeks. I feel like we have been here before. The more I think about it the better I feel about the later due date and repeating weeks. As I read more about Baby B’s growth and development the more it makes sense. I wasn’t feeling a whole lot of movement and a few other “symptoms” when I thought I was 20 weeks, but now I’m actually beginning to feel a little bit more.

Also, our loan has been approved and we now have selected our homeowners insurance!!!! I can’t wait until we are in the new house and I can nest like a crazy lady!!!

Lately I have been LOVING Caramel & Mocha Frappuccinos from Starbucks. They are divine and Baby loves them. I like them a bunch too! :)

I forgot to post this after Easter (pregnancy brain…) Grandma Kathy got us an adorable and heavy duty diaper bag from Thirty-One. Filled with all kinds of goodies like jelly beans, and yummy chocolates oh and a pelican (representing a stork).
I think Ben might even like carrying this one around. ;) We LOVE it!

Since it is important to always have a back up… And I’m sure I will be that person who overpacks and will need 2 diaper bags when she goes out, I picked up this bad boy from COACH this past weekend. I mean how can you say no when they are having a 40% off sale? It ended up being cheaper than the bag I originally wanted to buy from Vera Bradley, so that is how I justified it. :) In my mind it works and now I feel like I am prepared in the department of diaper bags.
Once we were done looking at diaper bags we spent a good amount of time at Carters, Oshkosh B’Gosh, and Motherhood Maternity outlet stores and scoped out all of the cute little girl clothes that I want to buy, but I will wait until I have more space to keep them. I also found a few pairs of shorts and capris that I will buy once the weather warms up a bit… if ever.

Also… Since we are moving at the beginning of July I have begun putting all of the things we get for Baby into a bin so it is all in one place for when we start the move and it helps me feel more organized. I would honestly like to begin packing now, but with the move still a couple of months away there is not much I can pack away yet. I can’t even pack away my winter clothes!! This “spring” is cold and I still find myself looking for sweaters.

We also got this awesome card in the mail from our friend Sarah! I will be taking you up on the offer of babysitting as soon as I am ready!!! :)

Ben and I also went on a date on Saturday night. We went and saw the movie Divergent. I had just finished reading the trilogy so I really wanted to go and see it to see how it measured up to the book. Besides a few details that they changed or completely took out, the movie was really good. I can’t wait for the second one to come out. Plus the actor they got to play the main guy was pretty good looking too, so that made the movie easier to watch. ;)

How far along?  18 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  +6lbs

How big is baby: Baby is measuring in at 5.6 inches. Thats about the size of a Sweet Potato. Weighing in at 6.7 oz.

Maternity clothes?  I am pretty much living in sweat pants, leggings, or dresses/skirts. I wear jeans or my work pants with the help of a B Band, which is amazing, but I feel like it wont be helping me out for much longer.

Sleep:  Sleep has been pretty nice lately. I wake up about once or twice to take a drink of water because I am always thirsty or to pee because that is also my other new hobby.

Best moment this week:  Noticing how much my hair has grown. I feel like it has grown so much in the past week or so. And finally buying some things for Baby B.

Movement:  I am finally starting to feel some movement. :)

Food cravings:  I love apples, Caramel and mocha frappuccinos, and popsicles.

Gender:  Girl, but “keeping our receipt” as the tech told us to.

Belly Button in or out? In, but it feels more shallow than what it was

What I miss: I miss climbing stairs without getting winded. Its all of that extra blood (what my dr. told me)

What I am looking forward to: Our next appointment with our OB in 2 weeks!

Milestones:  She is beginning to yawn, hiccup, suck, and swallow. She is also twisting, rolling, punching, and kicking. She is super busy in there!

One more bump photo!

Baby Update, House Update, New Due Date

Where do I begin?! This week was so crazy! Lets start with the house. We will go in order of how the week has gone. Lets start with Wednesday. As most of you know Ben and I have been house hunting and we put an offer in on a house. The sellers accepted our offer and we had our inspection yesterday. Everything is great. The only things he noticed were that 2 more CO2 detectors need to be put in, one in the basement and one on the second floor. We also need to put a railing in the garage for the stairs that go into the house. Needless to say we are thrilled with the results and are just waiting for the bank to give us the $$$$$$. Closing will hopefully be at the end of may and we will move in to the house in July because of our lease.

IMG_2750My awesome new stove

IMG_2752And here is the house. We love it.

Now the moment you have all been waiting for. Baby!

So we had our appointment in Green Bay today with the Genetic baby Dr. because of some stuff my parents went through when all of us kids were born (so to be safe I have to do this to make sure baby is doing ok.)
Our ultrasound began at around 1:00 and we spent a good hour in there looking at babys fingers, toes, head, belly button and all those other fun things.

As it turns out my doctors here in Oshkosh were wrong about my due date and how far along I am. I am 17 weeks. Kind of  crazy because I thought I was half way…but I’m not. Oh well, what can we do? Our new due date is October 2nd. As for babys gender… Since I am only 17 weeks we can’t be 100% sure, but the tech. said as of right now it looks to be a GIRL. Of course this could change in the next three weeks she said…. But I am going with my gut and I’m announcing it now (unofficially). GIRL. (if it turns out we have a boy he will just have to wear the pink I already bought.)

SO that is my story. You all will be seeing week 18 and 19 again. No, I didn’t get confused… Its just how it is…

Ben and I waiting for the tech.

And here she is. :)

How far along?  17 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  +6

How big is baby: Baby is measuring in at 5.1 inches. Thats about the size of an Onion. Weighing in at 6ish oz.

Maternity clothes? Most of my work pants don’t work anymore, so I need to stock up on some skirts and dresses.

Sleep: Sleep has been amazing, although waking up every now and then to roll over or go to the bathroom is crazy…

Best moment this week:  Seeing baby for the first time was pretty amazing.

Movement:  We saw a BUNCH of movement today during the ultrasound, I didn’t feel too much of it though.

Food cravings:  French Fries and apples.

Gender:  So far it looks like we are having a GIRL

Belly Button in or out? In, but it feels more shallow than what it was

What I miss: Having more that 2 cups of coffee in a day. I needed it today

What I am looking forward to: Sleeping tonight. I didn’t sleep at all last night.

Milestones:  Cartilage is turing to bone and she is starting to gain some weight
